AquaPhoenix at the Hanover Relay for Life

This is the fourth year that AquaPhoenix has had a team to participate in the Relay for Life event which takes place every July in Hanover, PA.  Each year our team sets a hefty fundraising goal and this year we were able to donate over $9,000 thanks to many generous donations from family, friends and area businesses.  This year, Paige Wingert, president at Legacy Athletic, was given a friendly challenge by Frank Lecrone to donate $1000 to our Relay for Life team.  In return, Frank agreed to match the donation and looks to get more businesses involved in raising funds with the hope of finding a cure for cancer.  Over the last four years, AquaPhoenix has donated nearly $40,000 to the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life – half of which have been dollar-for-dollar matches from the owner of the company.

Relay for Life_collageA fundraising goal of $225,000 was established for the entire Hanover community for this year’s Relay for Life event.  Similar to previous years, the community exhibited a huge amount of camaraderie and dedication with the hope of making a difference, however small, to ensure life-saving cancer research gets funded and everyone gets the critical help they need when they need it.  Together we were able to raise $226,932.
